He had seen my workwhen I first met him in Saudi Arabia where my late Mother had been practicingInterior Design since 1970 and was collaborating with Professor Tange who wasworking on the design of the Royal Palace for the late King Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz.There is photo of the Palace in the previous slide.I could not find any fabrics that I liked in Japan, so I flew to Los Angeles andcollected all the samples for upholstery, carpets, selected the furniture for theguest rooms, etc. I ended up with 5 different color schemes and to my hugesatisfaction, Professor Tange loved them and did not change anything – I wasvery proud to achieve my first successful assignment!.
