PROSPECTS AND GROWTH DRIVERSGrowingStrongerExpand current capacitiesChina XLX is currently building a thirdplant which will increase urea andmethanol capacities by about 400,000tons and 50,000 tons respectively. Theentire construction will cost aboutRMB930 million and is targeted tocomplete by 3Q2009. In addition, theGroup will increase its compoundfertiliser production capacity by 300,000tons at its second plant by the end of2009. (See production capacity tablebelow.)Greater Cost EfficienciesChina XLX management aims to increasethe cost efficiency of the first plant tobe as efficient as the second plant bythe end of 2009. This will be achievedthrough technical upgrades. The secondplant is currently about 10% moreefficient than the first plant.
