Transferability is always at the discretion of thereceiving school. The degree and diploma programs of the school are terminal in nature and are designed for the graduate’semployment upon graduation.ACADEMIC STANDARDSDEFINITION OF CLOCK AND CREDIT HOURA clock hour is a period of time consisting of at least 50 minutes of lecture, faculty-supervised laboratory, or facultysupervisedshop training within a 60-minute period.A semester credit hour consists of 15 clock hours of lecture, 30 clock hours of faculty-supervised laboratory, or 45 clockhours of faculty-supervised shop training.GRADING SYSTEM94 – 100% 3.6 – 4.0 Superior grasp of material, excellent performance TR Transfer Credit85 – 93% 3.0 – 3.5 Good level of proficiency, good performance WI Withdraw76 – 84% 2.4 – 2.9 Satisfactory level of proficiency and achievement I Incomplete70 – 75% 2.0 – 2.3 Minimum proficiency and performance to pass R Repeated0 – 69% 0.0 – 1.9 Unsatisfactory or failingGRADING PERIODSThe final grade for each course is comprised of a lecture and a laboratory grade. Failure of any required laboratorycompetency will result in a failing grade for that course. The Applied Service Management courses are divided into threeseparately graded courses within a six week period (250 clock hours). Students must achieve a minimum grade of 70% in eachcourse or the entire six week period must be repeated.WITHDRAWALNotification of intent to officially withdraw from <strong>WyoTech</strong> should be made to the Administrative Office at the campus.Notification can be sent to the Registrar, 4373 North 3 rd Street, Laramie, WY 82072.COURSE INCOMPLETESA student who failed to complete all the required work in the course may, with the Department Coordinator’s approval, begiven an Incomplete (I). The student then has two weeks from the end of the course in which to complete the required coursework. Upon satisfactorily completing the required course work, the incomplete grade will be changed to a final grade. Failure ofthe student to complete the required course work will result in the grade of Incomplete being changed to the earned grade.MAKE-UP WORKMake-up tests are allowed for an approved absence. Make-up work will not remove an absence or a tardy from a student’srecord. Make-up tests are not allowed for final exams.STUDENT PROGRESS REPORTSGrades are posted at the end of each course. A progress report is mailed to the student’s home address when a student isbelow 70% at the midway point of a course, subject to the privacy rights contained in the General Education Provisions Act,section 438.REMEDIAL COURSES AND PASS/FAIL GRADES<strong>WyoTech</strong> does not offer remedial courses on a pass/fail basis.GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS1. Complete each course in the program with a minimum grade of 70%.2. If admitted as a transfer or advanced standing student, complete at least 25% of the course requirements of theprogram at <strong>WyoTech</strong>.3. Be current with all financial obligations to the school.4. Complete their program within the maximum timeframe (150%) allowed for the program.8
