STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS/AWARDS• Outstanding Student: One student per department is selected by the Department Coordinator and instructors to bethe Outstanding Student. Selection is based on his/her academic achievement, leadership ability, cooperation,dedication, motivation, and professionalism. The recipient will receive a personal plaque and have his/her nameengraved on an outstanding student plaque located permanently at the school. The Outstanding Student award isconsidered the top award for a <strong>WyoTech</strong> graduate.• Perfect Attendance: Students who have not been absent or tardy throughout their program of study have perfectattendance. These students will receive a certificate and special recognition at graduation.• Outstanding Attendance: Students who have a maximum of four infractions, whether hour absent, tardies, or acombination, throughout their program of study have outstanding attendance. These students will receive a certificateand special recognition at graduation.• Honor Graduates: Students graduating with a 95% or above overall grade average for their program of study willreceive a special diploma indicating that they graduated with Honors.• Class Leader: Students selected by their instructors to be class leaders will receive a certificate indicating the studentwas a class leader.• Student Activities Council: A Student Activities Council award is given to students who are selected to work withthe Student Services Department to plan activities and events.• Peer Tutor: Students who attend special training to act as tutors to other students are honored with a certificate atgraduation.• National Technical Honor Society: The National Technical Honor Society is a non-profit educational organizationestablished to honor excellence in vocational and technical education. Only those students who are recommended bythe faculty and exhibit the qualities of skilled workmanship, honesty, responsibility, leadership, citizenship, andscholastic achievement are selected into membership. Members are recognized with a special seal on their diploma inaddition to the professional benefits gained by being a member of the NTHS in their recognition of outstanding studentachievement. Students must have a CGAP of 95% or higher after completion of four (4) phases.• Eagle Tech: An Eagle Tech is selected by the Education and Student Services departments to serve as a mentor tonew and current students. This student displays a dedication to professionalism, leadership qualities, a positiveattitude, and record of integrity. Students serving in this role are recognized at graduation.GRADUATION CEREMONIESParents, relatives, and friends from all over the United States are invited to attend the <strong>WyoTech</strong> graduation ceremonies.These ceremonies represent the culmination of your training at <strong>WyoTech</strong>. This is a formal commencement and awardsceremony in which graduates are honored for their hard work and academic achievement.ADMINISTRATIVE POLICIESCODE OF STUDENT CONDUCT – GENERALGenerallyCCi seeks to create an environment that promotes integrity, academic achievement, and personal responsibility. All CCischools should be free from violence, threats, and intimidation and the rights, opportunities, and welfare of students, faculty,staff, and guests must be protected at all times.To this end, this code sets forth the standards of behavior expected of students as well as the process that must be followedwhen a student is accused of violating those standards. Reasonable deviations from the procedures contained herein will notinvalidate a decision or proceeding unless, in the sole discretion of the school, the deviation(s) significantly prejudice thestudent. The Campus President (or designee) is responsible for appropriately recording and enforcing the outcome of alldisciplinary matters.Conduct Affecting the Safety of the Campus CommunityCCi reserves the right to take all necessary and appropriate action to protect the safety and well-being of the campuscommunity. The Campus President (or designee) may immediately suspend any student whose conduct threatens the healthand/or safety of any person(s) or property. The suspension shall remain in effect until the matter is resolved through thedisciplinary process. Such conduct includes, but is not limited to:• Possessing alcohol or other intoxicants, drugs, firearms, explosives, weapons, dangerous devices, or dangerouschemicals on the school premises• Theft• Vandalism or misuse of school or another’s property• Harassment or intimidation of others• Endangerment, assault, or infliction of physical harmOther Prohibited ConductAdditionally, disciplinary action may be initiated against any student(s) based upon reasonable suspicion of attempting tocommit or assisting in the commission of any of the following prohibited forms of conduct:• Cheating, plagiarism, or other forms of academic dishonesty15
