Does PeproTech test for endotoxin in their antibodies?PeproTech does test their antibodies forendotoxin using the kinetic LAL method.Please contact Technical Support for moreinformation.2. Which isotype are PeproTech’s polyclonal antibodies?The polyclonal antibodies that PeproTechmanufactures are IgG antibodies.3. How are your antibodies purified?All polyclonal and biotinylated polyclonalantibodies are antigen-affinity purified. Monoclonalantibody purification varies by product;please contact Technical Support for ˇmoreinformation.4. Can you tell me what epitope your antibodybinds to?PeproTech does not perform epitope mappingat this time. As a general guideline, polyclonalantibodies will naturally bind to more epitopesthan monoclonal antibodies since they are IgGantibodies.5. Have PeproTech’s antibodies been tested in neutralizationassays?Neutralization testing is performed on a lotto-lotbasis for each antibody. The resultsof this testing can be found on the product’scorresponding data sheet.6. Are PeproTech’s antibodies suitable for usein ELISA and Western Blot applications?PeproTech’s antibodies are suitable for use inELISA and Western Blot assays; please see ourindividual ELISA and Western Blot F.A.Q.sections for more information regarding theseapplications.7. What information should be known aboutthe stability of your antibody products?PeproTech’s antibodies are lyophilized fromPBS. As such, they are stable at roomtemperature for at least 1 month. For longerperiods, we recommend storing the lyophilizedproducts at -20 ° C.For reconstituted solutions of the antibodies,we recommend short-term storage at 4 ° C.For long-term storage the antibody solutionshould first be aliquoted (to avoid more than onefreeze/thaw cycle) and stored frozen at -20 ° C.Frozen aliquots of this antibody solution arestable for at least 1 year when kept at -20 ° C.8. Do PeproTech’s antibody products contain anycarrier proteins or other additives?No, PeproTech does not formulate itspolyclonal, biotinylated polyclonal, ormonoclonal antibodies with additives or carrierproteins.9. Will PeproTech’s antibodies work inimmunohistochemistry andimmunocytochemistry applications?All antibodies that have been tested so farhave been found to be suitable for theseapplications. Will PeproTech antibodies recognize targetproteins sold by other vendors?PeproTech’s antibody products have highbinding affinity towards the natural and/orrecombinant versions of the correspondingproteins. However, due to lack of authenticitysometimes found in other vendors’ proteins, wecannot guarantee that our antibodies willperform as well with these proteins.11. Will PeproTech’s antibodies recognize targetprotein in complex biological fluids such asblood or serum?Yes.
