Chapter –XIIV-Stabi - Connection and ProgrammationWelcome to the manual of the Henseleit V-Stabi for the TDR. No matter if you are computer or electronic expert or beginner,in this chapter you are guided step-by-step through the installation of the system and you will be astonished how easy it canbe. The RIGID by Henseleit Helicopters is a truely „rigid“ helicopter, i. e. it cannot be operated by a flybar, is completely flybarlessand requires an electronic control system. We have decided to co-operate with Ulrich Röhr (Mikado Modellhubschauber). Ulrich Röhr is the inventor of the firstelectronic control system for model helicopters (V-Stabi 1999) and has the greatest experience in this field. Tests have shownthat the V-Stabi meets all the demands we made regarding such a system. The system offers excellent flight properties while hovering as well as during high-speed flights and the hardest 3D flightproperties, but most of all the greatest advantages are easy installation and operation. The suitable „electronic“ setup is decisive. The basic requirements regarding the perfect setup are identical:−−−−−Stable flight characteristics in all situationsPerfect and precise stopping behaviour during control inputsSolid hoveringNo pitching even at high speedHigh and reliable tail holding powerDuring extensive flight tests with pilots such as Robert Sixt, Jan Henseleit, Matt Finke, and Ulrich Röhr we have developed asetup meeting all demands of beginners or top 3D pilots and ensuring all these properties and adjustments. This setup is part of the installation and will later be installed on the system step-by-step. So every TDR is a perfectlyadjusted system and ready to fly within a short time. The flight characteristics of an electronically controlled TDR cannot be compared to a mechanical solution, i. e. a flybar, andclearly get ahead of these systems regarding the precision and the stability of the helicopter. In addition, they are offered overa wide range of speed.A V-Stabi is not an autopilot, in every situation you have to control the helicopter yourself!
