Usually two or three differentintercepts are chosen, each of which is considered optimal in one likelycombat scenario, and these tactics are practiced constantly under the mostrealistic conditions possible to develop and maintain proficiency. Then,when the pilots get their chance for real, they select the most appropriatetactic and go for it.
