GOOD MIX OF BUSINESS
FOLLOWING on from the success of the
last event only one week previously, it was
time for our joint event with the Cardiff
Financial Professionals group.
The meeting was held at Fuel Bar, a local
rock bar where all of the young staff had
piercings and tattoos on display – a sea
change from our usual surroundings! As
hosts they were fantastic and very helpful.
People started arriving at about
12:30 and the first hour flew by – the
bar had a really good buzz all around
with lots of people from lots of different
sectors engaged in deep and meaningful
conversations!
We then had two speakers give short
but concise factual insight into their
particular field of expertise. The Cardiff
Group were great company too and it was
good for CICM members to mix with other
businesses and make some good new
contacts.
The all-important lunch buffet then duly
arrived and was demolished very quickly,
after which people started to leave. By
about 16:00 only about 30 were left in the
bar and that gave me the time to relax
slightly with something cold in my hand –
that’s right, the last remaining sandwich!
Our next event is on 5 November where
Philip King will be speaking to us at the
Atradius HQ buildings, so make sure that's
in your diary. Have a great summer and see
you on the other side!
