PUBLIC Health –
Healthy Communities Website
($80,000 Grant)
The funds will be used to create
a website which tracks over 100
health related indicators by Healthy Communities
Institute (HCI). HCI is a one-stop shared resource tool
which pulls health data from various sources. It will
streamline PH’s data collection process and provide
staff with increased accessibility to data.
SHERIFF – Emergency High
Frequency Radio and Antennas,
CREW
($85,895 Grant)
Funds will pilot use of new radio
and antenna systems designed for military use when
normal communications are inoperative. Technology
will be utilized by the Communication Resources
and Emergency Workaround group in the Sheriff’s
Department.
HEALTH SERVICES
– Censitrac ®Surgical
Instrument Management Solutions
($78,315 Grant)
Funds will be used to purchase
software to add accuracy, accountability, and cost
avoidance to the instrument reprocessing area that
supports the Ambulatory Surgery Center and Care
Clinics.
HEALTH SERVICES
(OLIVE VIEW) –
Landscaping for Outdoor
Psychiatric Recreation Yard
($44,488 Grant)
Olive View’s Outdoor Recreation Yard was destroyed
in the Sayre Fire. Funds will be used to restore the
yard back to its “original condition” prior to the fire.
The department is now able to provide services to
mental health in-patients at a pre-fire level.
BEACHES AND HARBORS
– Automated Fuel Management
System
($308,000 Loan)
The funds will be used to install
eight new Fuel Island Controller Units at seven
existing fueling locations, thus creating an automated
networked system to track fuel use at all DBH fuel
pumping stations.
REGISTRAR-RECORDER –
VSAP Voting System Design Phase
($235,000 Grant, $235,000 Loan)
Funds will be used to develop a
design brief that would lay the foundation for system
engineering, prototyping, and development at a new
voting system using an open, transparent, data driven
process that fully engages the public.
FIRE DEPARTMENT –
Videography Equipment for
Improving Quality of On-line
Training Content
($155,000 Grant)
The department is transitioning its “in-service training”
from a class format to an on-line system. The money
will be used to upgrade the videography equipment to
support the new system.
CONSUMER AFFAIRS –
Advanced Telephone System for
Improved Customer Service
($32,500 Grant)
The grant will fund a new telephone
system to improve customer service. It will be more
user-friendly, more reliable, and will enable redesign of
menu trees and re-record messages.
