President’s Message
For the last 5 years,
the Angus & Area
Chamber of Commerce
has been proud to bring this
incredible publication to area
residents and businesses. The
Community Guide & Business
Directory endeavours to bring
our readers valuable and
insightful information about
our area and the businesses and
services provided within. As
President, I am proud to have
the opportunity to represent our
business community. One role
of a Chamber is to support and
represent its member’s economic
growth and development within
their community. Another is
to be actively involved in the
growth and development of the
local community itself.
Annually, the Chamber and
its members are involved in a
number of local initiatives and
events which provide benefits to
our community and its residents.
Our area businesses are an
integral part of our community’s
success. Some benefits include
employment, stimulating the
local economy, impacting tax
revenue and tax dollars returned.
In conjunction with this, the
places residents shop, eat and
where they choose to have
fun at, also help communities
thrive. There are many proven
advantages to both communities
and businesses, when we choose
to shop locally.
The long term success of an
area’s businesses depends on
its diversity, collaboration and
support. Angus & Area offers all
that and more! We understand
it is not always possible to buy
everything you need locally so all
we is ask is that when it is time to
shop, you think local first!
