The Task Force believes that second careers can<br />

be found for both retired Standardbreds and<br />

Thoroughbreds through a program of transition,<br />

rehabilitation, retraining and placement. An<br />

increased public and industry-focused awareness<br />

campaign will highlight the viability and athletic<br />

capacity of retired racehorses.<br />
