Facilities & Studio Rental<br />
Historic Building: Built in 1916 as a<br />
mission Catholic Church, this building houses the<br />
Administration Office, Founders Hall and <strong>Art</strong> Library.<br />
Purchased in the 1960s as the permanent location<br />
for the <strong>Art</strong> <strong>Colony</strong>, this stately white building with<br />
forest green trim is located just two blocks up from<br />
downtown <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Marais</strong> and the harbor.<br />
Founders Hall: This studio has been an inspiring sanctuary for<br />
generations of artists. Mainly used for our visual arts classes, over<br />
the years the Founders Hall has hosted a variety of events such as<br />
exhibits, dances, weddings, concerts and retreats. Superb north<br />
lighting, high ceilings, suspended hardwood floors and ample wall<br />
space make this studio an enchanting space.<br />
<strong>Art</strong> Library: A cozy loft which includes a growing reference library<br />
plus a photography work station to document your artwork.<br />

Studio Building: The Studio Building opened in 2005, providing the <strong>Art</strong> <strong>Colony</strong> with much needed space to provide services to<br />
artists and expand our art education programs. Located adjacent to the Historic Building, it is connected by a deck that features one of the<br />
best views of Lake Superior and <strong>Art</strong>ist’s Point. This building includes a clay studio, glass studio, eco-friendly print studio, multi-purpose<br />
room and the CC Graham private visual arts studios.<br />
Multi-Purpose Gallery: A<br />
versatile room, this space is used for a<br />
variety of classes as well as a small gallery.<br />
