ealization of the Convention is the first participation of the Serbian children in reporting to international treaty bodies. When it comes the reporting of children from Serbia on the realization of the Optional Protocols, it is important to emphasize that the Serbian children were among the first in the world to have done it. Reporting of the Serbian children was assessed by the Committee as a model of good practice that reflected the full participation of children and youth. Wanting to share their experiences with the groups of children and youth, organizations and institutions advocating for the realization of child rights, both in Serbia and in other countries, the Child’s Rights Center and children that participated in the reporting process prepared the publication that you have before you. We are grateful to our partner organizations, Save the Children Norway, Save the Children Sweden, the German Organization for International Cooperation GIZ (GmbH) — the “Strengthening of the Structures for the Youth Empowerment and Participation in Serbia” project — for they recognized the importance of the inclusion of children in the reporting procedures and contributed to the overall success of the process.
