• In September 2007, the Centre in cooperation with the DX group
founded the Children’s Coalition. The Children’s Coalition prepared
a separate report “The Rights of the Child in Serbia — the Children’s
Perspective”, which was submitted to the Committee together with
the Alternative Report.
• In February 2008, the report of the Children’s Coalition on
implementation of the Convention was presented to the Committee
on a meeting specially arranged with the Children’s Coalition
representatives, while the representatives of the Coalition for the
Child’s Rights Monitoring presented their Alternative Report.
• In May 2008, a state delegation of the Republic of Serbia presented
to the Committee the Initial Report on Implementation of the
Convention on the Rights of the Child.
• In June 2008, the Committee adopted concluding remarks to the Initial
Report of the Republic of Serbia and gave their recommendations for
the promoted implementation of the Convention.
• June–October 2008 — the Children’s Coalition members, following
the recommendation of the Committee, informed their peers, as
well as the general public, of the results of the Report.
