In the production of fi lter cartridges, novatexx spunbonded nonwovens serve
as “spacers” between the pleats on the face side and as a drainage layer on
the clean side. The performance profi les of the media concerned can be very
specifi cally designed to requirements. The nonwovens involved can be easily
pleated together with the membrane without damaging the latter.
In the products of the 20xx series, the use of special bi-component fi bers creates
particularly high rigidity, which is indispensable for the pleating operation and
signifi cantly enhances the stability of the fi lter cartridge.
The raw materials used meet the requirements laid down for safety in food,
beverage, medical and pharmaceutical applications.
