Motor protection and discharge fi lters made from Separet nonwovens for
domestic vacuum-cleaners are installed downstream of the fi lter bag, and are
accordingly designated as secondary fi lters. The motor protection fi lter extends
the lifetime of the vacuum-cleaner, by retaining fi ne dust particles that have
passed through the fi lter bag, and functions as a “police fi lter” if the bag bursts
or has been incorrectly inserted by mistake. As the fi nal back-up the discharge
fi lter arrests ultra-fi ne particles, micro-organisms, bacteria and pollens in the
vacuum-cleaner. The Separet fi lter media excel in terms of high arrestance
performance coupled with extremely low air resistance, optimum air-permeability
and long operational lifetimes. The combination of electrostatic fi lter effi cacy
with a mechanical fi ltering effect enables these media to be used even when
the space available for installation is very small. They are available in the form
of blanks or diecuts in almost any desired geometry, and can be supplied with
an imprint on request. Separet fi lters are easy to handle and pose no health
hazard whatsoever.
