Application<br />

Viledon ® HEPA <strong>fi</strong> lters / hood modules of <strong>fi</strong> lter class H14 are used for intake<br />

<strong>and</strong> recirculated air <strong>fi</strong> <strong>ltration</strong> of cleanrooms <strong>and</strong> fl exible cleanroom systems with<br />

ultra-stringent requirements for clean air quality <strong>and</strong> sterility, e. g.<br />

• In hospitals / medical institutes, pharmacies, sterile rooms, laboratories,<br />

research centers, etc.<br />

• In highly sensitive industrial processes (pharmaceuticals, biotechnology,<br />

chemicals, optics, food <strong>and</strong> beverage processing, micro-electronics, etc.)<br />

Special features<br />

• The <strong>fi</strong> lter media used are high-arrestance micro-glass-<strong>fi</strong> ber papers.<br />

• The MiniPleat technology employed ensures fl ow-friendly geometry <strong>and</strong><br />

equidistance of the pleats, with homogeneous media velocity coupled with a<br />

very low pressure drop. This means particularly cost-ef<strong>fi</strong> cient <strong>and</strong> dependable<br />

operation, <strong>and</strong> a quasi-laminar outfl ow.<br />

• Each <strong>fi</strong> lter element is tested using state-of-the-art scanning equipment for<br />

arrestance ef<strong>fi</strong> ciency <strong>and</strong> leakproo<strong>fi</strong> ng in accordance with EN 1822, <strong>and</strong><br />

delivered together with the corresponding test certi<strong>fi</strong> cate.<br />

• The frame is made from extruded, anodized aluminum with a plastic plenum<br />

hood cast in an airtight con<strong>fi</strong> guration on the face side. An integrated perforated<br />

plate serves as a baffl e plate, <strong>and</strong> evens out the entering air fl ow. The sturdy<br />

construction is moisture-resistant <strong>and</strong> provides a high degree of security<br />

against the growth of bacteria <strong>and</strong> fungi (thus permissible according to VDI<br />

6022).<br />

• Simple h<strong>and</strong>ling <strong>and</strong> installation, since it is torsion-resistant <strong>and</strong> particularly<br />

light thanks to the integrated plastic plenum hood.<br />

• The <strong>fi</strong> lter / hood modules feature a protection grid on the clean air side made<br />

from powder-coated exp<strong>and</strong>ed metal <strong>and</strong> a connection for measuring<br />

aerosol/pressure drop.<br />

Also available as ULPA <strong>fi</strong> lter of class U15.<br />
