Application<br />
Pulse-jet <strong>fi</strong> lter cartridges are used for intake air <strong>fi</strong> <strong>ltration</strong> at gas turbines <strong>and</strong><br />
turbocompressors at both onshore <strong>and</strong> offshore installations.<br />
Characteristics <strong>and</strong> pluses<br />
• With their optimum cleaning characteristics, GTS <strong>fi</strong> lter cartridges maximize<br />
the lifetimes of intake air systems for turbomachinery <strong>and</strong> reduce the operating<br />
costs signi<strong>fi</strong> cantly.<br />
• Innovative high-performance nonwovens with a water-repellent <strong>fi</strong> nish <strong>and</strong><br />
made of synthetic micro<strong>fi</strong> bers enable GTS <strong>fi</strong> lter cartridges to retain their<br />
excellent performance features under all climatic duty conditions.<br />
• The <strong>fi</strong> lter medium achieves high arrestance performance, large dust holding<br />
capacity, a low average pressure drop <strong>and</strong> high cost-ef<strong>fi</strong> ciency. The GTS<br />
series is particularly well suited for locations with high dust concentrations<br />
in the outside air.<br />
• GTS <strong>fi</strong> lter cartridges have been optimized in terms of <strong>fi</strong> ltering area <strong>and</strong><br />
pleat geometry. The active <strong>fi</strong> ltering area remains effective over the entire<br />
operational lifetime.<br />
• In order to avoid corrosion, the inner <strong>and</strong> outer support cages, plus the<br />
cover <strong>and</strong> base, are made from galvanized steel or stainless steel. These<br />
components are cast in a leakproof con<strong>fi</strong> guration, so as to ensure maximized<br />
security against dust breakthrough during pulse-jet cleaning.<br />
• Optimum seal with the mounting plate using a foamed-on EPDM seal.<br />
