declining moral values and we
need moral, well-educated,
proficient Catholics to invigorate
the culture in which we live.
Young adults need to be the
leaven in the society around us.
How does the mission of MDSA
fulfill parents’ expectations for a
Catholic education?
There is a strong Catholic
atmosphere at MDSA. Teaching
and practicing of the faith is
clearly evident here. The Sisters
are so impressive. There are
no words to fully describe their
impact on the girls and the
teachers, too.
How can Mount de Sales
Academy improve and strengthen
the quality of Catholic education
for our young women?
By continuing to give the girls
ammunition to explain the faith,
offering apologetics courses, and
teaching history into the "Black
Legends" (the distorted stories
about the Spanish Inquisition, the
Crusades, Gallileo, Pius XII and
the Jews, etc.) of the Church.
What is the single most important
thing parents need to know
about the value of a Catholic
education, as it pertains to
MDSA?
It prepares women not only for
life upon graduation but for life
eternal. Young women need to
be the leaders, as young men are
looking for leaders in women.

make good moral decisions and to
explain and defend the faith.
How does the mission of Mount
de Sales Academy fulfill parents’
expectations for a Catholic
education?
At Mount de Sales, faith is central
but goes beyond religion class. The
Chapel is the center of the school.
There are frequent opportunities for
Adoration and Confession. We also
have the daily witness of the Sisters,
who want the students to be the best
at all they do.
How can Mount de Sales Academy
improve and strengthen the quality
of Catholic education for our young
women?
By offering an even greater variety
of religion classes, such as, religion
in politics and the place it has, or
religious roots of law.
What is the single most important
thing parents need to know about
the value of a Catholic education,
as it pertains to Mount de Sales
Academy?
The formation is irreplaceable.
The faculty and staff are good
role models of faith; not just good
teachers. Students are being
molded into good Christian women.
For many, the expense of a Catholic
education is a sacrifice. Why do
you think it is worth it?
Simply put, formation as a good
Catholic woman. You can’t put a
price on that.
