1994-95 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONSHIP NOTES
• The Devils’ .542 regular-season winning percentage was the lowest for a Stanley Cup
Champion since Toronto went 32-27-11 (.536) in 1966-67.
• The club started all of its playoff series on the road; no other champion had accomplished
that feat since the 16-team playoff format was introduced in 1979-80. The 1966-67 Maple
Leafs were the last team to start all of their playoff series on the road. In 1966-67, just four
clubs qualified for the playoffs, and there were just two rounds.
• New Jersey went 10-1 on the road in the playoffs. The 10 wins are an NHL record (since
tied).
• The Devils became the sixth NHL club to win a championship in their first Stanley Cup
Finals appearance, and the first ever to sweep.
