Entering first season as a member of Albany’s coaching staff;<br />

named to current post September <strong>2013</strong>…Along with M. Brodeur,<br />

K. Daneyko, S. Niedermayer and S. Stevens, was a member of all<br />

three of New Jersey’s Stanley Cup Championship teams…Retired<br />

as an active player following the 2011-12 season; spent three<br />

years with St. Petersburg (KHL) and one season with<br />

Novokuznetsk (KHL)…A forward, spent entire 13-season NHL<br />

career, from 1994-95 through 2007-08, with New Jersey; 765<br />

career regular-season games ranks ninth in team<br />

history…Appeared in every game from 2003-04 through 2007-08;<br />

328 consecutive games played from Oct. 8, 2003 to Apr. 6, 2008<br />

marks the third-longest stretch in franchise history…Totaled 129<br />

goals and 179 assists for 308 points; notched career highs across<br />

the board with 23 goals and 29 assists for 52 points in 2000-<br />

01…Added 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 points in 109 career<br />

Stanley Cup Playoff contests…Also saw action with Albany (AHL),<br />

most recently in 1997-98…Represented Russia at two World<br />

Championships and two World Junior Championships…Spent the<br />

2004-05 campaign with Voskresensk (Rus.)…Made his NHL debut Feb. 17, 1995 vs. NY Islanders;<br />

first came to North America in 1993-94 as a member of the IHL’s Russian Penguins…New<br />

Jersey’s second choice and 42nd overall selection in the 1992 Entry Draft…Born Jan. 13, 1974 in<br />

Moscow, Rus., Sergei and his wife, Elena, have two children: <strong>14</strong>-year old daughter, Anna, and<br />

Entering second season as a member of the Devils’ coaching staff and<br />

sixth season with the organization; named to current post September<br />

2012…Six-season professional career included 52 American Hockey<br />

League appearances with Albany, Lowell, Charlotte and Chicago; as<br />

well as 186 ECHL games with Trenton and Gwinnett…Retired as an<br />

active player following the 2011-12 season after seeing action with<br />

both Trenton (45 games) and Charlotte (1)…Tied for fifth on AHL<br />

Devils’ all-time list with 50 games played (J. Parise) and sixth with<br />

2,592 minutes played…Not drafted; joined organization after signing<br />

as a free agent with Lowell August 2, 2007…Made pro debut with<br />

Gwinnett after signing with Thrashers’ organization as a free agent<br />

July 6, 2006…Played collegiately for four seasons, 2002-06, at Ohio<br />

State (CCHA), compiling impressive 52-32-9 mark, with 11 shutouts<br />

and a 2.07 goals-against average…Helped guide Buckeyes to three<br />

NCAA Tournament berths and the 2004 CCHA Mason Cup<br />

(conference tournament champion)…Named to conference’s All-<br />

Tournament Team as a sophomore, while receiving two All-Conference<br />

Team Honorable Mentions (2005, 2006)…Voted school’s Most Valuable<br />
