Clément Beaumont
Clément Beaumont is the president
and CEO of Dectro International, a 30
year old Canadian corporation specialized
in the design and manufacturing
of electrolysis and esthetic equipment.
Mr. Beaumont is head of R&D at Dectro International,
working on improving permanent hair removal treatments
and esthetic care applications. Mr. Beaumont
contributed to the invention of the first computerized
hair removal system called APILUS, which introduced
personalized programs adapted to each body area and
stored in a customer file for later retrieval. Mr. Beaumont
travels around the world to attend international conventions,
to assist Dectro’s worldwide distributors and to
lecture at specialized seminars on electrolysis or esthetic
technologies.
Dynamic Duo: Electroepilation
& Photoepilation Technologies

This lecture, prepared in collaboration with the LOEX
Research Centre and Laval University, presents scientific
studies performed on skin biopsies that demystify
the differences between today’s modern photoepilation
and electroepilation technologies. More precisely, attendees
will be able to observe the stems cells’ destruction
in the papilla and around the follicle caused by either
technology on different skin phototypes and hair colors.
Moreover, this lecture will demonstrate how modern
electroepilation technologies can outperform other hair
removal treatments by its unique permanent efficiency
and limitless application. Experiments using a thermographic
camera will show how heat is produced using
different radiofrequency technologies, modalities and
application techniques proving that electrolysis is a recognized
method for 100% permanent hair removal on all
skin types and hair coloration.

is actively involved in the development
of new esthetic and electrolysis
application techniques with Dectro
International. With more than 10 years experience as
a professional electrologist and beautician, Ms. Piquette
contributes each year to the training and advancement of
numerous beauty specialists across the world. She travels
regularly to international conventions to assist Dectro
International’s worldwide distribution network and to
lecture at specialized seminars on new techniques and
technologies discovered for the benefit of estheticians
and electrologists.

This lecture will address the thermocoagulation techniques
used for the treatment of superficial skin imperfections.
During this presentation you will receive
an overview of skin anomalies related to the circulatory
system known as telangiectasia, spider veins, points
of ruby, Campbell spots, along with skin disorders like
skin tags, age spots and pigment spots. Aside from the
purpose of thermocoagulation procedures, the identification
of skin anomalies and their possible contraindications
and precautions during treatment are important
matters for any electrologist. A professional consultation
with post-treatment recommendations and home care
are important steps to prevent superficial skin reactions.
Estheticians will understand how this new service may
help them diversify their practice, attract new clients and
increase their income.
