STUART MCNAUGHTON<br />
Professor Stuart McNaughton ONZM is New Zealand's Chief Education Scientific Advisor. He is also director of the Woolf Fisher Research<br />
Centre in the Faculty of Education at the University of Auckland. The Woolf Fisher Research Centre designs and tests effective educational<br />
programmes for culturally and linguistically diverse populations. Stuart is a member of the reading Hall of Fame and the International Literacy<br />
Association's Literacy Research Panel.<br />
ALEXIS MENTEN<br />
Alexis Menten is Executive Director of Partnership Development at the Asia Society Center for Global Education, which builds the awareness,<br />
will, and capacity for transforming education to prepare all students for employment and citizenship in a global era. Prior to Asia Society, Alexis<br />
led youth programs and educational technology initiatives in Central Asia and the Middle East. She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College.<br />
ANNE MILLARD<br />
Anne Millard became Executive Director School and Preschool Improvement for the South Australian Department for Education and Child<br />
Development in 2014 after many years as an educator and regional director for South Australian public schools. She is responsible for the<br />
operational performance of education services that enable public schools and preschools to deliver quality education and care to children and<br />
students in South Australia.<br />
WATSON OHIA<br />
Watson Ohia has over 20 years of teaching experience, 12 of those years at Ngā Taiātea Wharekura. He is a graduate of Waikato University<br />
and a leading educationalist within the Waikato region. His school motto is Kia puta ki Taiātea – Empowered by our past, and present, to lead<br />
in the future.<br />
ISMAEL PALACÍN GINER<br />
Ismael Palacin Giner is General Director at Jaume Bofill Foundation, a think & do tank focused on next educational challenges, based in<br />
Barcelona, Spain. The Foundation develops research, programs and coalitions to improve educational policies and practices that overcome<br />
inequalities. Ismael was former manager at a children's rights NGO, leading innovative social programs on school achievement and communitybased<br />
inclusion. He is a Board member of several foundations and networks.<br />
