DR MARCEL VAN LOO<br />
Marcel van Loo has been Education Manager of a schooling group in The Netherlands for 14 years. He is Chairman of Suitable Education in<br />
Secondary Education - a co-operative of 10 school boards. Marcel studied at the University of Applied Science in Tilburg (P.E. teacher), the<br />
University of Leuven (human movement sciences) and the Dutch College of Naturopathy. He earned an international Masters Degree in<br />
education management from the VU, Amsterdam, and went through an ‘Excellent School Leadership’ accreditation and the prestigious ‘High<br />
Performance Leadership’ program. Marcel has worked as a researcher for the Dutch Government, editor of a magazine on sports in schools<br />
and as a teacher from primary education to university. He implemented problem-based learning in eleven different institutes.<br />
DR JOHN VOLMINK<br />
John Volmink started his academic career at the University of Western Cape, South Africa and completed the PhD in mathematics education at<br />
Cornell University in the US. He started his education career as a high school teacher and has served in various senior positions in both the<br />
government and non-government sectors. He is Chairperson of Umalusi Council, the statutory body that monitors and improves the quality of<br />
general and further education and training in South Africa. He serves as Chairperson of the Boards of several NGOs.<br />
VIV WHITE<br />
Viv White has worked in educational reform, research, policy and practice for 30 years. She was CEO of the Victorian Schools Innovation<br />
Commission and the Australian National Schools Network. Viv is a Fellow of the Australian Council of Education and was admitted in 2014 to<br />
the Australian Businesswomen's Network Hall of Fame.<br />
DR GRANVILLE WHITTLE<br />
Granville Whittle has held various management positions in the Department of Basic Education South Africa where he has worked for the past<br />
twelve years. He is currently Deputy Director-General of the Care and Support Services Branch. Granville has been involved in many different<br />
spheres of education and serves on the boards of several NGOs.<br />
MARY WOOTTON<br />
Mary Wootton is Lead Facilitator Science Learning and Change Networks. She is an experienced and successful facilitator of learning who<br />
supports people by developing and building on existing capability in ways that group’s and networks grow and she becomes invisible. Mary<br />
understands the importance of retaining elements of the instructional core, and also recognises the growth of informal learning through lateral<br />
and digital networking.<br />
