SESSION TWO
GOD LOVES YOU
34 35
We enter into this beautiful relationship with God through Jesus, who
was the Messiah (meaning ‘savior’). He is one with the Father, which
means He is God. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Jesus was not just a good guy or a role model, He was God in the
flesh, and He is the means for God’s plan for redemption (and there
is no plan B).
MEDITATION VERSE:
JESUS TOLD HIM, “I AM THE WAY,
THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE
CAN COME TO THE FATHER EXCEPT
THROUGH ME.” JOHN 14:6
God’s love is not a distant benevolence. It is an
intimate love, based on the fact that He knows
everything about you, but loves you anyway.
When we are loved unconditionally, we feel a
sort of freedom. We are free from having to
impress, free from insecurity. We’re forgiven of
our mistakes and welcomed into relationship.
We need to respond to this love in order to experience it and have it
change us. What does that look like? That’s what we will explore in
this week’s lesson.
“GOD LOVES
YOU.” YOU’VE
PROBABLY
HEARD THAT
MORE THAN
ONCE IN YOUR
LIFE. BUT
WHAT DOES
IT MEAN?
