DAY 4 • READ JAMES 5:16A:<br />
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you<br />
may be healed.<br />
RESPOND:<br />
Sometimes it feels much safer to just confess our mistakes to God.<br />
But this verse says we are to confess to other people? Who is someone<br />
you feel safe enough that would be willing to hear your confession<br />
and pray for you?<br />
DAY 5 • READ JAMES 5:16B:<br />
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces<br />
wonderful results.<br />
RESPOND:<br />
What promise do we find in this verse? Do you feel like your prayer<br />
life is powerful and effective? Journal about this idea.<br />
DAY 6 • READ JAMES 5:17-18:<br />
Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly<br />
that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then,<br />
when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began<br />
to yield its crops.<br />
RESPOND:<br />
Read the story of Elijah in the Old Testament (see 1 Kings 17-18).<br />
What do you notice? Ask God to speak to you through this story<br />
about praying with faith.
