With a new start time of 11:30, the
action will be heating up earlier
this year. The first match will see
England take on the French, so
head down early to get a good seat
for that match! With gates opening
at 11, the entertainment will also
start earlier on Westpac Stadium’s
Plaza giving you plenty to see and
do before the first match kicks off.
Hold onto your hats, tutus and
capes sevens-goers – the games are
about to begin!
FAMILY ZONE
The Family Zone is located between Aisles 17 and
19 and is open to all children. For the first time
the Family Zone is a dedicated family area with
its own entrances, concourse, entertainment,
information desk and toilets. There will be
colouring competitions, free facepainting, a
technology suite where you can play console
games, and the opportunity to get up close to
the action on the field. Entertainment will be
taking place within the Family Zone throughout
the day including visits from mascots and
players. To redeem your free children’s food
voucher make sure you go to Aisle 17 to the Kids
Food Collection Point. Kids, we hope you have an
awesome time in the Family Zone!
RULES OF ENTRY
• No liquids or sealed bottles of any kind can
be brought into the stadium this year.
• Anyone caught trying to smuggle in alcohol
will lose their sevens ticket/s and be denied
entry to the stadium.
• You can bring an empty water bottle in with
you, up to one litre in size, which you can
fill at any of the eight free water outlets at
aisles 2, 6, 9, 12, 23, 25, 28 and 32.
• No stadium pass-outs will be issued after
4pm each day. If you leave after 4pm you
won’t be able to re-enter.
• Your ID photo must clearly show your
likeness - all masks, glasses, accessories
and face paint must be removed at point
of sale or you will not be able to purchase
alcohol
• If you arrive intoxicated you will be refused
entry. Intoxication levels will also be
monitored throughout the two days – stay
safe and stay in the zone
You won’t get that in mate…
• Any drinks (alcohol or non-alcohol)
• Thermos flasks, gas bottles, cans, or any
liquid in sealed or unsealed containers Hot
food or takeaway food
• Chilly bins, picnic baskets, large bags
• Chairs of any kind, pushchairs/prams
• Sound amplifiers, musical instruments
• Flag poles more than a metre long
• Offensive signs or banners
• Plastic imitation weapons
• Gang patches
Costume no-nos
The following are banned from Westpac
Stadium:
• Complete or near-nudity
• Shoes must be worn
• Any accessories that can be used as
weapons or look like weapons
• Costumes that are bigger than the size of
your seat or that could interfere with other
people’s views
• Neon high-visibility ests or jackets
What you can take in
• Sunscreen
• 1 litre empty water bottle
• You can take in small amounts of cold food
(such as sandwiches and fruit) in a softsided
bag that will fit under your seat.
Other tips
• Don’t forget to take sunblock to the
stadium, drink plenty of water and eat
throughout the day.
• Remember you should also take warm
clothes for the evening.
• Look out for your mates and stick together.
• Wellington’s central city liquor ban remains
in place over the weekend.
• The ban incorporates the CBD from the
waterfront – including the Stadium Fran
Wilde Walkway – to the Basin Reserve.
