Losing out to Scotland in the Plate Semifinals<br />
at the most recent leg of the Sevens<br />
World Series Circuit in Cape Town, the<br />
Welsh team have yet to make their mark in<br />
this year’s series.<br />
With nothing to lose as they head to the<br />
<strong>Wellington</strong> Sevens tournament the Welsh<br />
team will be determined to secure more<br />
wins for their team and improve on their<br />
12th place finish from last year’s World<br />

Despite losing their core team status after<br />
last year’s Sevens World Series, Japan have<br />
shown they are not to be underestimated,<br />
after only narrowly missing out on a shield<br />
final win against Canada in the opening leg<br />
of the series circuit in Dubai.<br />
Despite ranking 15th on the World Series<br />
standings, the Japanese team will be<br />
determined as they head to <strong>Wellington</strong> and<br />
will be hot contenders for a shield win.<br />
