The passionate Argentinians will be
heading to Wellington for the 2015/2016
sevens tournament on a high after a
promising start to this year’s World Series
in Dubai and Cape Town.
Showcasing five new players in their team
for this year’s Sevens World Series the
Argentinian lads finished the most recent
leg of the series circuit in Cape Town as
Cup finalists placing them fourth in the
World Series standings. The team look
to be performing at their peak this year
and seem determined to move up the
ranks from their eighth place finish in the
2014/2015 World Series.

The reigning World Sevens Series
champions proved they were the team to
beat in the 2014/2015 series, winning their
second World Series title.
It’s undeniable this team is set to be
a crowd favourite once again after
showcasing their team’s talent with a
strong start to the series in Dubai. The
team demonstrated the Fijian flair they
are renowned for, beating England 28-17
to take out the opening round of the
2015/2016 World Sevens Series in Dubai.
Suffering only one defeat in Cape Town to
win the plate final in the second leg of the
journey, Fiji are off to a stunning start and
are currently sitting top of the table.
With three Wellington titles already under
their belt, the Fijian team will be looking
to secure another win going into the
2015/2016 Wellington tournament.
