Four-year <strong>WNBA</strong> point guard Shannon Bobbitt has <strong>com</strong>pleted<br />
her first season with the Fever after two years with the Los<br />
Angeles Sparks.<br />
PRO – <strong>WNBA</strong><br />
2011: Bobbitt saw action in 31 games, starting three, and<br />
averaged 3.9 points, 1.7 assists, and 14.2 minutes per game…on<br />
7/29, Bobbitt hit a game-winning shot to defeat the Washington<br />
Mystics with what was her only basket of the game…she scored in<br />
double figures twice including a career-high 16 points, seven<br />
assists, and four steals at New York on 9/9… that game was also<br />
a season-high for minutes played with 36…her other double-figure<br />
scoring game was 13 points at Connecticut on 7/28.<br />
2010: In training camp with the L.A. Sparks, she made one<br />
preseason appearance before being waived. She had four assists,<br />
two steals, two rebounds and six points in a preseason game<br />
against San Antonio, 5/8.<br />
2009: She played in all but one game, starting three of the 33<br />
and averaging 2.2 points, 1.4 assists and 10.7 minutes per game.<br />
She scored in double figures once with 10 points on 4-of-6<br />
shooting with a pair of 3-pointers in 17 minutes against the<br />
Washington Mystics, 7/11. The game with Washington was one of<br />
two in which she made a season-best two 3-pt FG. She was also<br />
2-3 from beyond the arc on her way to eight points against Seattle,<br />
6/26.<br />
2008: As a rookie she played in 26 games for the L.A. Sparks,<br />
including 17 as a starter. She averaged better than four points a<br />
game (4.1 ppg) and led the team with 3.5 assists per game which<br />
ranked 16th best in the <strong>WNBA</strong>.<br />
PLAYOFFS<br />
2011: Bobbitt appeared in all six of the Fever postseason<br />
games, totaling 68 minutes…she averaged 1.2 points and two<br />
assists per game.<br />
2009: She made appearances in three of the Sparks' six<br />
postseason games, totaling nine scoreless (0-4 FG) minutes with<br />
one rebound.<br />
2008: A starter in all six of Los Angeles's playoff games, she<br />
averaged 4.5 points and 3.0 assists in 21.2 minutes per game.<br />
PRO – OVERSEAS<br />
2011-12: Bobbitt played for Antakya in the Turkish League<br />
where she averaged 10.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per<br />
game…she posted a season-high 19 points in a win over<br />
Kayseri…she had 13 points and 10 assists in a loss to Mersin.<br />
2010-11: Beginning the season with Raanana Hertezilya in<br />
Israel, she averaged 14.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.8<br />
steals in five games. She scored 10+ points in four of those<br />

Acquired: Signed as a free agent,<br />

games, including a high of 22, 11/1. She moved on to play 14<br />
games for Elitzur Maclaren Holon, averaging 16.9 points, 3.9<br />
rebounds, 1.3 steals and 4.9 assists, which ranked third in the<br />
league. She scored 20+ points in each of her first three games for<br />
Elitzur Holon, averaging 23.7 points in those three contests. She<br />
contributed a season-high 26 points in a loss to Ramat Hen, 12/13.<br />
2009-10: She began the season with Maccabi Ramat Hen,<br />
where in 11 games she averaged 11.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.5<br />
assists and 2.4 steals. Released in December, she signed with<br />
CCC Polkowice in Poland's PLKK. In the Polish League, she<br />
averaged 10.5 points, 3.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.3 rebounds in<br />
12 games.<br />
2008-09: Playing overseas for the first time as a pro, she<br />
averaged 13.2 points, 6.1 assists and 1.85 steals in 20 games for<br />
Botasspor in Adana, Turkey.<br />
COLLEGE<br />
After two seasons at Trinity Valley Community College, Bobbitt<br />
transferred to the University of Tennessee where she helped the<br />
Vols to back-to-back national championships.<br />
2007-08: As a senior, she was second on the team in both<br />
scoring (9.9 ppg) and assists (3.3 apg). She scored 20+ points<br />
three times as a senior, including a career-best 27 points vs.<br />
Oklahoma, 11/15. She led the Lady Vols with her 20 points at<br />
South Carolina, 1/13, and then tallied 22 points vs. Florida. Her 78<br />
3-pt field goals not only topped the Lady Vols for the season, but<br />
were the third most in a single season by a Tennessee player. She<br />
dealt 10+ assists once, handing out a career-best 13 vs. Gonzaga,<br />
12/16. She averaged 1.66 steals per game and had at least one<br />
theft 20 times in 38 games.<br />
2006-07: She was named to the NCAA Final Four All-<br />
Tournament team after averaging 9.5 points and 3.5 steals in the<br />
final two games of the season. She was also named to the Dayton<br />
Regional All-Tournament team after pouring in 14 points on perfect<br />
shooting from beyond the arc (3-3) against Ole Miss and scoring in<br />
double figures (11) for the third straight game against Marist in the<br />
Sweet 16. She drilled six 3-pt FG at Alabama to tie for the second<br />
most in a game in program history.<br />
JUNIOR COLLEGE<br />
In 2006 as a freshman, she led the Trinity Valley Cardinals to<br />
the NJCAA National Tournament and the 2006 Region XIV<br />
Championship with a 30-2 record overall and 18-0 mark in<br />
conference play. For her efforts, she was named the 2006<br />
Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA)<br />
Junior/Community College Player of the Year, and she also<br />
earned Kodak All-America honors. During her sophomore season,<br />
she handed out 211 assists to rank third in the nation (7.53 apg)<br />
Bobbitt teamed with Candace Parker in winning two NCAA titles at Tennessee, then played with her again in Los Angeles.
