Beginning her third year in Indiana, Zellous was acquired in a<br />

May 27, 2010 trade with the Tulsa Shock…she is an athletic<br />

shooting guard with an uncanny ability to get to the free throw<br />

line…in her rookie season with Detroit in 2009, Zellous made 155<br />

free throws, second in the <strong>WNBA</strong> to the Fever’s Tamika Catchings<br />

(158).<br />

PRO – <strong>WNBA</strong><br />

2011: Zellous saw action in 33 games, starting two and<br />

averaging 5.5 points and 2.2 rebounds…she scored a season-high<br />

21 points at Washington, 6/21…she had a career-tying high seven<br />

rebounds vs. Atlanta, 9/11…she scored 13 points, had five assists,<br />

and three rebounds vs. Los Angeles, 7/31.<br />

2010: Zellous played four games with the Tulsa Shock before<br />

being traded to Indiana…with the Fever, she appeared in 27<br />

games without a start…she logged 15.5 minutes per game with<br />

the Fever, averaging 5.9 points and 2.1 rebounds…her first game<br />

with the Fever came against the Shock, ironically, in Tulsa just one<br />

day after the trade occurred…in her next three games with the<br />

Fever, she netted 10, 23 and 10 points…her season scoring high<br />

was 23 against New York, 6/5, in a game that included 10 free<br />

throws out of 12 attempts…she scored 16 points against Tulsa,<br />

7/8…she posted season highs of six rebounds and six assists at<br />

Connecticut, 8/15.<br />

2009: A member of the <strong>WNBA</strong>'s All-Rookie First Team, she<br />

averaged 11.9 ppg for the Detroit Shock and was second in the<br />

league with 155 free throws made, behind Tamika Catchings…she<br />

started the season's first four games, averaging 7.5 ppg…she then<br />

scored in double figures in 23 of the last 30 games and averaged<br />

12.5 ppg in those outings, all off the bench…she scored a seasonhigh<br />

25 points vs. Atlanta, 6/26, and in that game set a franchise<br />

record with 17 free throws made...her 19 free throw attempts<br />

against the Dream tied for second most in a single game in Shock<br />

history…she scored 10+ points in 13 straight games from August 9<br />

to September 9…she scored 20+ points four times, including 20<br />

points in the season finale at Chicago, 9/12…she made at least 10<br />

free throws four times…in her first game off the bench, she scored<br />

13 points against the Fever, 6/21, including a pair of 3pointers…she<br />

averaged 2.0 apg for the season, but handed out<br />

nearly three-and-a-half assists a game over the season's final 10<br />

games…she averaged 3.4 apg in that span with at least four<br />

assists on five occasions…she had a season-best five assists<br />

three times, all of which came in the season's last 10<br />

contests…she was fifth on the team with 27 steals, which was tops<br />

among Shock reserves and third-best among all <strong>WNBA</strong> rookies<br />

behind Angel McCoughtry and Briann January.<br />

PLAYOFFS<br />

2011: Zellous saw action in 5 of 6 Fever postseason games<br />

and started Game 3 of the East Finals…she averaged 8.6 points<br />

and 2.6 rebounds per game…she scored 13 points in 17 minutes<br />

at New York, 9/17..<br />

2010: Zellous averaged 4.0 points per game during a threegame<br />

conference semifinal series against the New York Liberty.<br />

2009: Zellous helped spark Detroit to the Eastern Conference<br />

Finals with a playoff average of 15.6 points per game…her playoff<br />

high of 23 points came in Game 1 of the East Finals in Detroit<br />

where she hit 10-of-11 free throws.<br />

PRO – OVERSEAS<br />

2011-12: Zellous finished fifth in the Turkish League with 18.7<br />

points per game while playing with Mersin. She averaged 5.4<br />

rebounds and 2.2 assists, and contributed high scoring games of<br />

34 and 31 points.<br />

2010-11: Zellous began the winter playing with TTT-Riga in<br />

Latvia, but after 10 games and elimination from EuroLeague<br />

<strong>com</strong>petition, she signed with Electra Ramat in Israel…she<br />

averaged 15.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists with TTT-Riga;<br />

and 12.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists with Eletra Ramat.<br />

2009-10: Playing for Besiktas in Istanbul, Turkey, she<br />

averaged 15.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals per<br />

game in 21 Turkish League games…she tallied 20 or more points<br />

four times with a season-best 26 points against Mersin, 4/22…she<br />

recorded two double-doubles, including 19 points and a seasonhigh<br />

11 rebounds vs. Ceyhan Bid, 12/13…she notched 14 points<br />

and 10 rebounds vs. TED Kayseri, 1/31…she played in six<br />

EuroCup games for Besiktas, averaging 17.0 points, 5.0 points<br />

and 4.2 assists per game…she scored 20+ points twice, including<br />

22 points vs. Chevakata, 12/3, and 21 points in the team's<br />

EuroCup opener vs. Chevakata, 11/12.<br />

COLLEGE<br />

An All-Big East First Team honoree in each of her last three<br />

seasons at Pittsburgh, she was named the Big East's Most<br />

Improved Player in 2007…she was selected to the NCAA Spokane<br />

Region All-Tournament Team in 2008…she averaged 22.6 points,<br />

5.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game as a senior in<br />

2008-09, ranking first on the team and sixth in the nation in<br />

scoring…she scored her 2,000th career point against Notre Dame,<br />

2/3/09, be<strong>com</strong>ing just the third player in Pitt women’s history and<br />

just the fifth Pitt player ever to reach that milestone…she was also<br />

just the 13th player in Big East history to have scored 2,000 points.<br />
