Seeking rebounding entering the <strong>2012</strong> season, Indiana signed<br />

Erlana Larkins to a free agent contract in March. The former North<br />

Carolina star and first-round pick by New York was waived by the<br />

Liberty in 2010 and again by the Phoenix Mercury in 2011.<br />

PRO - <strong>WNBA</strong><br />

2011: Larkins signed a training camp contract with the<br />

Mercury, but was waived prior to the regular season.<br />

2010: She was waived by the Liberty in training camp.<br />

2009: Larkins appeared in 18 games for the Liberty…she led<br />

the team in rebounds twice, grabbing a season-high six boards at<br />

San Antonio, 6/13, and against Indiana, 9/8…she posted averages<br />

of 2.4 points and 1.7 rebounds, during 7.6 minutes per game.<br />

2008: Larkins appeared in 27 games for the New York Liberty,<br />

leading the team in scoring once and rebounding twice…she<br />

scored in double figures four times, and collected five or more<br />

rebounds six times…she averaged 4.8 points and 2.7 rebounds<br />

per game…a career scoring high of 13 points occurred twice within<br />

the same week…she netted 13 against San Antonio, 9/9, and<br />

against Detroit, 9/14.<br />

PLAYOFFS<br />

2008: Larkins played in all six Liberty playoff games during the<br />

Eastern Conference semifinals and finals…playing 14.5 minutes<br />

per game, she averaged 4.3 points and 4.8 boards…she had a<br />

high of nine points at Detroit, 9/29, in Game 3 of the conference<br />

finals…she posted a high of seven rebounds in Game 1 against<br />

Detroit, 9/26.<br />

PRO - OVERSEAS<br />

2011-12: Larkins played beside Fever teammate Shavonte<br />

Zellous with Mersin in the Turkish League…she averaged 10.5<br />

points and 10.9 rebounds per game in 21 contests…she finished<br />

second in the league in rebounding…it was Larkins’ third straight<br />

season with Mersin.<br />

2010-11: She averaged 11.9 points and 10.2 rebounds through<br />

22 Turkish League games with Mersin.<br />

2009-10: With Mersin in the Turkish League, she averaged<br />

11.4 points and 8.7 rebounds through 18 games<br />

2008-09: Playing for Samsun in the Turkish League, she<br />

averaged 14.5 points and 12 rebounds in 20 games.<br />

Larkins was a gold medalist with 2007 USA Basketball<br />

Women's Pan Am Games Team (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)…she<br />

played with the 2006 USA Basketball Under 20 Women's National<br />

team at the FIBA Americas Championship (Mexico City)…she<br />

represented the U.S. at the 2005 FIBA Women's U19 World<br />

Championship (Tunisia)…she was part of the 2004 USA<br />

Basketball Junior World Championship qualifying team (Puerto<br />

Rico).<br />

COLLEGE<br />

At the University of North Carolina, Larkins holds career<br />

averages of 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, while<br />

shooting 57.1-percent from the floor…she became the 7th player<br />

in ACC history with 1,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 300 assists, 200<br />

steals and 100 blocks in a career…<br />

2007-08: She was a 2008 State Farm All-American, USBWA<br />

All-American, AP All-America Second Team, ESPN.<strong>com</strong> All-<br />

America Second Team, All-ACC First Team, and was named the<br />

ACC Tournament MVP.<br />

2006-07: As a junior, she was named AP All-America Third<br />

Team, All-ACC First Team and to preseason watch lists for the<br />

Wooden, Wade and Naismith awards.<br />

2005-06: Larkins was named to NCAA Final Four All-<br />

Tournament Team, AP All-America honorable mention, Kodak All-<br />

America region finalist, All-ACC first team and All-ACC<br />

Tournament first team.<br />

2004-05: A part of the Tar Heels’ ACC Tournament champions,<br />

she was named to All-ACC Second Team, All-ACC Freshman<br />

Team, All-ACC Tournament Second Team and selected to the<br />

ESPN.<strong>com</strong> Preseason All-Freshman team.<br />

PERSONAL<br />

Erlana La'Nay Larkins was born in West Palm Beach, Fla…she is<br />

the daughter of Victoria and Earl Larkins…she majored in<br />

sociology and Afro American studies at North Carolina…she<br />

prepped at The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Fla.<br />
