NCI Driver of the Month
National Carriers
has named Donna
Davis Driver of the
Month for October
2015. She is a resident
of Junction City,
Kansas.
Davis began driving
for National Carriers
in March 2014.
She operates a company
truck in the NCI
Hide division.
“I am still in shock, it’s hard to believe
I was selected as driver of the month. I just
focus on doing my job safely and on time,”
Davis said
National Carriers spokesperson Ed Kentner
said, “As we compare nominees for this recognition
each month the competition is fierce.
Only the best of the best are considered and
this month Donna Davis was a runaway winner.
She displays an outstanding work ethic
blended with a keen concern for the motoring
public’s safety.”
Each Driver of the Month is a finalist for
NCI Driver of the Year 2015. Each monthly
winner receives a $500 bonus and the Driver of
the Year is awarded a $5,000 prize.

great driver to work with. He is always willing
to help. He is very dedicated to Decker
Truck Line which is demonstrated by him
sacrificing his summer months by doing the
Tour De Fat and strives to be on time all the
time.” Pesa has driven with Decker for six
years.
Schad won for the Missoula Reefer/Van
Division. He was nominated by his fleet
manager, Alan Henderson,
who said, “Jerry
has been with the company
since we started the
Western division and became
an owner-operator
in September 2014. Jerry
has always done an outstanding
job for Decker.

the LeMars Reefer/
Van Division. He was
nominated by his fleet
manager, Chris Krogman,
who said, “Chris

does an outstanding
job!” Gulley has driven
with Decker for 1 1/2
years.
Green won for the Fort Dodge/Hammond
Flatbed Division. He was nominated
by his fleet manager, Jarod Smith, who said,
“Steve consistently
has proven himself
to be one of the most
valuable members of
the Bessemer fleet.
With Steve, I can rest
easy knowing that
his character doesn’t
allow him to be nothing
less than great.
He likes to run and
works with us when
freight requires him
to meet with other drivers, pick up the next
day, etc.”
Green has driven with Decker for 2 1/2
years.
Wadlow won for the Bessemer Flatbed
Division. He was nominated by his fleet
manager, Megan Kruse, who said, “Tim is
an excellent asset
to the company. He
is flexible on dispatch
and is always
willing to help out.
Tim has a positive
attitude, communicates
well, is
easygoing, and is
enjoyable to work
with.”

for two years.
In addition to winning a Decker gift certificate,
each of these drivers will now be eligible to
compete for Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
This year-end recognition of one driver from each
division brings a 1-cent-per-mile pay increase for
12 months. 8
