Synopsis:<br />
Hermano, a successful doctor and enthusiastic rock<br />
climber, is planning to climb an almost invincible mountain<br />
in the Tierra del Fuego, when he discovers that his<br />
wife Adri is pregnant. For Hermano, facing the mountain<br />
represents an essential proof of courage that he believes<br />
he owes to himself. Despite discovering that Adri’s pregnancy<br />
is at risk, he seems determined to go ahead with<br />
the climb.<br />

Roberto Gervitz<br />
Roberto Gervitz studied Social Sciences in the 1970s and had already begun experimenting with Super-8 film at<br />
school. At the age of 20, during the military dictatorship in Brazil, Gervitz was making social documentary films.<br />
Gervitz became a professional, working first as editor and sound editor, and then as a screenwriter and director.<br />
He has directed TV series including GENTE QUE FAZ and CARANDIRU-OUTRAS HISTÓRIAS (produced by<br />
Hector Babenco) and documentaries, such as BRAÇOS CRUZADOS, MÁQUINAS PARADAS (Arms Crossed,<br />
Machines Stopped, 1979), winning the Young Director Award at the Leipzig festival and showing at the<br />
Young Cinema Forum at the Berlin Film Festival.<br />
