Synopsis:<br />

The movie “Gnothi Seauton” is a story of the most<br />

successful sport family in Croatia, the Kostelić family.<br />

This 93-minute documentary showcases Ivica and Janica<br />

Kostelić on their road to success, from their early age to<br />

the finish line of the 10th Olympic medal in Sochi.The film<br />

speaks of their enormous sacrifice, poverty but also will<br />

and persistence that their father and coach, Ante, set to be<br />

the standard since the very beginning. On the journey to<br />

win 20 world medals they underwent a total of 17<br />

surgeries.<br />

Bruno Kovačević, began his journalism & editorial career in 1992. In his rich career, he was an<br />

Editor-in-Chief and later the head of sport production at the Croatian National Television. He<br />

worked with CNN, making a dozen segments on Croatian Athletes. After authoring 3 sport-feature<br />

documentary films, which won international prizes, “Gnothi Seauton” crowns his filmmaking career<br />

as the film about the most important family in Croatian sport history.<br />
