Self Harm Awareness Training 2016<br />
Aberdeen Self Harm Service<br />
Delivered by Penumbra, the Aberdeen Self Harm Service provides a specialist support service<br />
for people who use self harm as a coping strategy.<br />
Self Harm is a broad term for a range of harmful behaviours, which includes cutting, burning,<br />
swallowing harmful objects, engaging in high risk activities and abusing drugs and alcohol.<br />

Self Harm Awareness Training is delivered in a three hour<br />
workshop, which aims to consolidate participants knowledge of<br />
self harm, and to improve confidence when dealing with self<br />
harm.<br />
The workshops will include group activities designed to<br />
enhance understanding in a non-judgmental setting. Our<br />
highly experienced facilitator will be able to answer any<br />
questions, and you will receive a self harm resource guide.<br />

Self Harm Awareness Training sessions will be held at<br />
Aberdeen Community Health and Care Village. Located on<br />
Frederick Street in Aberdeen city centre, there are excellent<br />
public transport links and parking is available nearby.<br />
