<strong>ISLAMOPHOBIA</strong> IN Germany<br />

THE AUTHOR<br />

Anna-Esther Younes has finished her PhD on "Race, Colonialism and the<br />

Figure of the Jew in a New Germany" at the Swiss Graduate Institute for International<br />

and Development Studies, IHEID, Geneva. Her research topics include<br />

Critical Race Theory, Post-Colonialism, Psychoanalysis, and Critical German<br />

Studies. Anna-Esther Younes is currently based in Berlin and taught at the<br />

Gender Institute of Humboldt University. She was the recipient of a research<br />

fellowship from the Tokyo Foundation for the University of San Diego with<br />

Prof. Fatima El-Tayeb and is currently applying for post-doc positions in Europe<br />

and elsewhere. Younes has also recurrently published journalistic articles.<br />
