Thirteen people are arrested. Banners can be seen with ‘stop Islam’ and ‘Less, less.’
Altogether 19 mosques witnessed 27 cases of discriminatory aggression in 2015.
Cyberspace
Social media like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube all regularly feature Islamophobic
messages.
In the aftermath of the three Swedish mosques that were set on fire just before
New Year’s Eve 2014, a message with the heading ‘A Swedish Mosque Set on Fire
Again’ was posted on a Facebook page and received 282 likes and reactions that
called for burning down mosques in the Netherlands as well. The Facebook page
