Tenders have been received by Clanmil <strong>Housing</strong> Association from the selected<br />
contractors for the proposed construction of social housing units in the<br />
following mix: 6 two-bedroom apartments and 6 two-bedroom dwellings with<br />
access arrangements, car parking, landscaping and associated works.<br />
The contract will be for approximately 12 months from the date of award.<br />
It is expected that all units built under this contract will achieve 'Secured By<br />
Design', code for sustainable homes level 3 and Lifetime Homes.<br />

A planning application was submitted in December 2015 by Helm <strong>Housing</strong><br />
Limited to change the use of property No. 45 to create 1 x duplex apartment<br />
including alterations and the demolition of remaining buildings on the site.<br />
These works are to allow for the subsequent construction of 18 apartments<br />
(total 19 apartments overall), including ancillary works such as the provision of<br />
communal gardens, a bin storage area, parking and access.<br />
An estimated cost of £1.6 million is envisaged.<br />
