Drawing and mixed media assemblage<br />
I draw inspiration from <strong>the</strong> reuse of urban materials, <strong>the</strong> alchemy of recycling<br />
for both practical and aes<strong>the</strong>tic ends. Visually, I like <strong>to</strong> show <strong>the</strong> multi-layered<br />
his<strong>to</strong>ry of reused materials – <strong>the</strong>ir corrosion, reworking and layering<br />
over time.<br />

Mixed media painting and textiles<br />
I am interested in surfaces which show <strong>the</strong> passing of time and have a<br />
his<strong>to</strong>ry. Wea<strong>the</strong>red wood, s<strong>to</strong>ne and metal, worn peeling paint, <strong>to</strong>rn layers<br />
of wallpaper, antique textiles which evoke thoughts of all <strong>the</strong> lives that have<br />
shared <strong>the</strong> space before and left something of <strong>the</strong>mselves behind.<br />
