Drawn to the Valley and our
Drawing Days
As a member of Drawn to the Valley, our artists have
the opportunity to attend ‘Drawing Days’ throughout the
year, these are usually based on four days per venue
across the seasons.
This year once again we have been kindly asked back
to two venues that have inspired many artists over the
last few years; The Garden House at Buckland
Monochorum, Devon and Pentillie Castle near
Hatt, Cornwall.
These two stunning locations have supported Drawn
to the Valley while allowing our artists to soak up
their breath-taking views, each location providing an
abundance of inspiration and variation, from beautiful
flowering meadows to weathered outbuildings and the
all-important river Tamar.
Their support enables our artists the precious time to
sketch, paint, photograph and be generally inspired by
the fabulous landscape, as well as providing the
opportunity for our members to meet up and share
the experience.
As artists, we spend many hours working in solitude; the
community of Drawn to the Valley is such an important
part of our membership, enabling peers to share their
work, artistic experiences as well as the shared
inspiration from beautiful
surroundings
during the much
appreciated
drawing days.
