I respond to whatever catches my eye. I aim to work from rapid outdoor
sketches, often of the coast, often semi-abstract. For me, colour
matters most.

Textiles
I work with cloth and thread but my main love is stitchery. Inspiration comes
from the stitches themselves, building up texture and form. My work is
vibrant and colourful and uses traditional craft in a contemporary way.

Printmaking, artist books, cards
The concept of fragments is central to my practice. I am interested in
capturing the intimate, momentary experiences of walking on the South West
coastal footpath and Dartmoor through printmaking and drawing. These are
often presented as artist books.
