It has come to the attention of the Ministry of Health and
the Environment that persons have been selling the bags that
were originally distributed to residents free of charge by the
Government of Antigua and Barbuda. Please note that these
bags are NOT FOR SALE, and residents should contact the
Ministry of Health at 462-5522 to report any supermarket or
shop that has been selling these bags.
All vendors desirous in plying their trade at the Annual Mango
fest 2016 on 24th and 25th July, at Victoria Park, Botanical
Gardens, is asked to collect a registration form, from the
Ministry of Agriculture Lands Fisheries and Barbuda Affairs
on Independence Drive. Space rental for a 10x10Tent space
is $50Ec and 20x20 is $100Ec.Registration ends July, 15th,
2016. Remember the date July 24 & 25, 2016.
The principal and staff of the Ottos Comprehensive School
wishes to inform the general public of its registration date,
for students who have gained scholarships to the Ottos Comprehensive
School.
Registration of new students and collection of text books
will be held on Tuesday 16th August, 2016 on the school
compound, between the hours 9:00am – 12:00pm.
Parents/ Guardians are asked to bring along the following
documents when coming to register your child/children:
• Registration Fee of $225.00
• Book Clearance form from previous school
• 2 RECENT passport size photos
• Original and photocopy of Birth Paper
• Original and photocopy of Health Card
• Copy of Passport information page and original
passport
• Non- Nationals- Copy of Passport page showing
time in the country and Passport
• Pen and note book to write down the name of books
issued to the students
The collection of textbooks for students transferred to the
Ottos Comprehensive School will also be on Tuesday 16th
August, 2016 at 9:00am.

scholarship to the Antigua and Barbuda International Institute
of Technology (ABIIT) to pursue an Associate Degree
in Architectural Technology. Simply apply to ABIIT and enroll
in the Architectural Technology program and write a 500
word essay on “Why the field of Architecture is important
and how will attaining a degree in this field enable you to
achieve your academic and professional goals” Submissions

Are you between the ages of 13 and 16 with a passion for
writing? Good News, the Ministry of Tourism, Economic
Development, Investment and Energy in collaboration with
the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Foundation
is accepting essays for the 2016 Children’s Essay Contest.
In 500 words express, “If you were a cruise passenger,
what would you want to see and do in your destination?”
Please submit your essays to the Ministry of Tourism located
in the Government Complex by Wednesday 20th July, 2016.
Each submission must be accompanied by an FCCA entry
form which will be available at the Ministry. A Cash Prize of
$200 USD will be awarded to the National winner who will
also have an opportunity to win up to $3,000 USD from the
FCCA Selection Committee for the overall contest winner.
The Helping Hand Foundation will be having a T-shirt mas
and Jouvert morning troupe for the 2016 carnival celebrations.
