In 2015/<strong>2016</strong> we have:<br />

• Conducted the inaugural AgriVictoria:<br />

State of Opportunity Summit in partnership<br />

with key stakeholders;<br />

• Strengthened our partnership with International Dairy<br />

Week, Australia’s premier dairy event;<br />

• Introduced the Dairy Youth Handler’s Scholarship, a<br />

$10,000 travel bursary to visit emerging dairy regions<br />

in South- East Asia;<br />

• Participated in the Federal Government Trade Mission<br />

to Indonesia.<br />

Enhance our governance and organisational capability<br />

In our efforts to be recognised as an employer of choice,<br />

we further developed our organisational structure,<br />

continued to provide opportunities for our team members<br />

and implemented new ways to recruit both staff and<br />

volunteers.<br />

Encouraging cross functional activity and learning<br />

has allowed for internal promotion and has given staff<br />

the opportunity to develop skills in various areas of the<br />

organisation. This sharing of information also allows for<br />

improved succession planning and more efficient processes.<br />

In 2015/<strong>2016</strong> we have:<br />

• Developed a new organisational structure;<br />

• Introduced new recruitment processes to attract high<br />

level candidates and increase organisational capability;<br />

• Established clear succession plans to encourage<br />

internal promotion.<br />

I thank our President Mr Stephen Spargo AM and the<br />

entire <strong>RASV</strong> Board of Directors, Senior Executive Team,<br />

Councillors, Members, operational and event committees<br />

and all staff for their dedication and commitment, in this<br />

successful first year of our ‘Towards 2020’ Strategy.<br />
