2015 <strong>Puget</strong> <strong>Sound</strong> Factbook Book | v3.0<br />

<strong>Puget</strong> <strong>Sound</strong> counties<br />

Twelve of Washington’s 39 counties include <strong>Puget</strong> <strong>Sound</strong> waters:<br />

<br />

Clallam<br />

<br />

Kitsap<br />

<br />

Skagit<br />

<br />

Island<br />

<br />

Mason<br />

<br />

Snohomish<br />

<br />

Jefferson<br />

<br />

Pierce<br />

<br />

Thurston<br />

<br />

King<br />

<br />

San Juan<br />

<br />

Whatcom<br />

Portions of Lewis and Grays Harbor county are also contained in <strong>the</strong> surrounding watershed<br />

basin. Fourteen counties thus comprise <strong>the</strong> broader <strong>Puget</strong> <strong>Sound</strong> watershed basin. This is seen<br />

by overlaying <strong>Puget</strong> <strong>Sound</strong> watershed boundaries over a suitable basemap such as <strong>the</strong> USGS<br />

national map (at a scale showing county boundaries).<br />
