Verification of FC Multipath Connectivity<br />

To verify the FC connections being used by ESXi, Figure 4-45 shows how this can be done<br />

from the VMware VSphere client. Once the client is connected to the newly installed ESXi<br />

host, this information can be viewed from the Summary panel. Select the appropriate<br />

Datastore <strong>and</strong> right click on it to display its properties.<br />

Figure 4-46 on page 233displays an example of a datastore that represents the <strong>SAN</strong> <strong>Boot</strong><br />

XIV volume that was used during the installation of ESXi 4.1. To display explicit information<br />

about the Fibre Channel (FC) paths associated with that datastore, click on Manage Paths.<br />
