ROUNDERS
YOUNG LEADERS AWARD
The Rounders Young Leaders Award is aimed at
students in Year 9 and over (14+ years) who have
completed a minimum of 1 module of the
Sports Leader Award.
This 6 hour course builds on the skills already gained
during the Sports Leader Award.
The course will enable a Rounders Young Leader to
lead rounders sessions in the presence of a suitably
qualified coach or teacher.
6 HOUR COURSE
Mainly practical course with some theory. Also
incorporates the Preliminary Umpire Test paper to
conclude award.
- Delivered by an approved Rounders England Tutor
Minimum 14, maximum 20 per course.
FACILITY REQUIREMENT
Classroom and 4-badminton court sports
hall required.
COSTING
£16 pp course fee plus £18 P&P (payable to Sport
Structures), £180 tutor fee plus mileage at £0.45p/
mile (payable to the course tutor).

PRELIMINARY UMPIRE
This is the first award within the
Umpiring Pathway.
The course will provide you with an
introduction to umpiring and the skills
to enable you to start to officiate at
matches and events.
3 HOUR COURSE
Mainly practical course with some
theory, including the test paper.

England Tutor
Minimum of 12, maximum of
20 per course.
FACILITY REQUIREMENT
Classroom and 4-badminton
court sports hall required.

£15 pp course fee plus £18 P&P
(payable to Sport Structures), £90
tutor fee plus mileage at £0.45p/
mile (payable to the course tutor).
