UNDER EIGHT MAROON The Sharkies under 8’s maroons have had an outstanding year of football. We were lucky enough to keep the same side as last year with the inclusion of Leo Shacklock. This made my job easier as all the boys had a good understanding of the basics. It’s amazing what a difference 6 months makes at that age and when the boys returned to training after summer they were all bigger, faster and keen to impress. The only problem – all the other teams were the same! Try’s were much harder to come by this year,but all the more sweeter when we got them. Our team prides itself on defence and when we were on,it was great to watch. Some great individual efforts, but great team work. A big thank you to Kate f or organising me and the team, we couldn't have done it without you. Another big thanks to all the Mums and Dads and your extended families for all you support not only for your children but the whole team.... The maroons are not just a good team but an awesome group of men who I am very proud to be associated with. Last but not least a very big thank you to Toni Couper and the club for providing a great family atmosphere and a fun place to play footy.
