Austin - The type of player all coaches like, does all the ugly stuff,
doesn’t whinge and is a selfless team player. Tough as nails,
Tackles hard all day, rarely troubles the score sheet and he
improved his dummy half play out of sight this year. Needs to
help out more around the house and cook his dad breakfast on
weekends.
Zac - This bloke is insane. First year back after a broken neck and
he did not hold back. Was surprised when he was told he is
allowed to sidestep players. Still hasn’t quite mastered the
freshy, even though we practiced it approximately 750 000 times
this year.
Taran – Just about my favourite player. He played almost every
position this year, made an impact every game he played and
never once whinged. He runs well, tackles well and is a bloke I
would have as a team mate any day.
Kyle - Was actually an under 14 who played up and improved as
the year progressed. Suffered a back injury that kept him out of
much of the season, but he battled away, demonstrating his
strength of character.
JD - What a difference 6 months make, he gained 6 inches in
height and lost 10 kgs he didn’t have to lose. Is an excellent
young man and a pleasure to coach as he always puts in at
training and always listened to the coaches. Skilful player and
always willing to play out of position when asked.
JT - Loved coaching JT this year. Have known this kid for a long
time, he is a great young man and this season is the best I’ve
seen him play footy. Another who added inches to his height and
filled out a bit too. He is as tough as teak and does not care how
big you are, he is going to try and destroy you. He has an
excellent work ethic and can always be counted on to play out of
\ position if needed and you knew you would get a 100% effort.
