UNDER SIXTEENS This year was probably the most difficult year I’ve been involved in since this group of kids came together way back in the under 6's.We lost 7 seven players from last years G/F winning side, it looked like at one stage we probably weren't going to field at team. We ended up starting the season with 18 players only to have 3 players pull out early in the year leaving us with 15 . Unfortunately due to injuries and players with other commitments we found it difficult to field a team at times,having to play a lot of our games with no reserves.Thankfully with the help of a few under 15's players we where very competitive and still thought we could win the comp.We made it to the Prelim Final where we beaten 24-18, if a few calls had gone our way we could of even won that game and gone onto another G/F. I just want to say that I've really enjoyed being involved with this side which have been together for a long time now, it was also nice to see a few new players join this year Joel ,Jamie and Sean. They’re all great kids . I personally want to thanks Jamie for coaching again this year,the poor bloke does it tough every year ,you wouldn't believe the amount of time he puts into coaching NOT ONLY on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I'd also like to thank Eggy (Adam Garrick) for helping out this year at training and running the water all year for us ,I know the boys enjoyed having him around. Also a big thank you to all the parents. Lastly I want to thank Michael Malone for letting us use his players through out the year and to those players Charlie Piper,
Kya Walker, Kane Savage, Blake Boofa Hersee, Tallan Sialemaka and Johno Martin a huge thank you for stepping up when needed. Cheers Jezza/Manager I would like to thank all the boys not for just this but for the last 10 years I've coached this age group. The side has played in 7 G/F winning 4 of them.Big thank you to all the parents also thanks to Eggy for the year. Massive thanks to Jezza for his help over the years.It's time for me to have a break from coaching these boys. Big thank you boys for letting me coach you, you‘re a great group of kids.
